This AutoCAD short tutorial explains about how to turn on or off display of text, was created by Ricky on 19 Jun 2008.
To turn on or off display of text go to "Tools" and click on "Options" from the list as shown in Figure 1.

When "Options" dialog box appears click on "Display" tab as shown in Figure 2.

In "Display Performance" pan check "Show text boundary frame only" as shown in Figure 3.

For the changes to come into effect you have to go to "View" menu and click on "Regen" as shown in Figure 4.

I have posted two images before and after making changes on text display. Figure 5 is the one before turning off the display of text and figure 6 if the one after turning off the display.
